Wellness Pool amounts will be reflective of the category of coverage you select and will now cover, on average, 90% of the cost of each benefit you choose. Employees will receive a flat amount of Wellness Pool dollars by level and then an additional amount based on percentage of pay (salary).
See the chart below for a breakdown of the flat amount and % of base pay formula. If Employees received a base pay increase as of October 1st, this will be reflected in next year’s benefits.
Additionally, if you choose to add dependent coverage for the Sun Life Drug and/or Sun Life Medical plans, your Wellness Pool will increase by a flat amount to assist with the increased premiums for dependent coverage.
